Well, there's not much to tell. I was born and raised and still live in Manitoba; I've rarely ever left Canada (1 trip to Minot ND, 1 trip to the International Peace Gardens, and about 40 minutes through whatever state lies south of Ontario, since the American roads were in better shape); I work as a webmaster at a small university; I'm married; and my basement troll moved out and got married. I like to write (um, obviously), mainly SF. I always have at least two writing projects on the go, usually my seemingly-permanently-stalled novel and something shorter. My real name is Patrick, but I go by the moniker "vodou" because I like the word, which I think I picked up from William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy.
I'm involved in the National Novel-Writing Month. For those as don't know, the idea is to write a novel (defined as "50,000 words of text") in the month of November. If you want to, you can have a gander at my story here.
[Update: I have finished the first draft!]
For Queen and Country - this story won the SF Challenge in April 2003
Avalon - possibly the start of a longer work in the Queendom universe
The above is embarrassingly outdated. I'm now working on a novel tentatively titled Earth Fleet, and I've sold one short story, "Resurrection Radio", to On Spec. I have a couple others making the rounds.
I have a (rather dull) writer's diary that seems to get updated quite infrequently, and I have a site that I hope to use to post more writing on in the near future.
And I will try to keep this a little more up-to-date, but I make no promises.
