Gary Robson
Gary Robson wrote his first magazine article in 1983, and has written freelance on and off ever since. His writing credits include 12 books and over 200 articles for everything from Encyclopedia Brittanica to The National Law Journal and Nuts & Volts.
After working for years to establish himself as a writer of serious nonfiction, the publication of his children's guides to scats and tracks (the Who Pooped in the Park? series) has assured that he will henceforth be known as "the poop guy." The first book in the series, set in Yellowstone National Park, is now in its third printing, with close to 20,000 copies sold.
Gary owns an independent bookstore and a small cattle ranch in Montana.
Coming Up!
Gary has four more Who Pooped in the Park? books coming out in 2006 from Farcountry Press.
His most recent non-children's book was The Closed Captioning Handbook, a technical guide for Focal Press (an imprint of Elsevier). Everything you ever wanted to know about closed captioning of television, Internet media, DTV, videotapes, DVDs, and more, from the law to the technical "bits & bytes" detail.
